I graduated in 1992 from the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University with a BA in voice. I completed a masters degree in music composition and a second masters in choral conducting in 1997 from Bowling Green State University and was awarded the BGSU James Paul Kennedy award for outstanding graduate student in music in that same year.

From 2005-2012 I was the director of technology for large high school in northwest Ohio that successfully implemented and sustained a 1 to 1 laptop initiative that put an Apple MacBook into the hands of every student and faculty member. This program was conceived and designed specifically to enhance the academic curriculum and more effectively teach 21st century skills. As a result of this highly successful program, that school received three consecutive Apple Distinguished School awards from 2009-2012.

In 2007, I was extremely humbled and grateful to receive an Apple Distinguished Educator award. I consider myself to be an educational technologist, musician, lifelong learner, and sometime runner.

Currently, I am the Director of Technology for a K12 public school district in northwest Ohio, and have completed and been awarded a Ph.D. from the University of Toledo in Curriculum and Instruction.
